Lifelong Financial Solutions has a team of professionals with decades of customer service, business experience, insurance, and retirement strategy knowledge. We are laser-focused on giving our clients a warm, family-like experience. 

Tom Salestrom

Owner, President & Licensed Insurance Agent

With Lifelong Financial Solutions, Tom and the team don’t just talk about great customer service, they demonstrate it every day. Since 2013, Tom Salestrom has been the owner and President of Lifelong Financial Solutions, serving clients in Nebraska, South Dakota, and Minnesota. As a licensed insurance agent, Tom focuses on helping pre-retirees and retirees learn how to keep some of their money safe while seeking a reasonable rate of return.

From the age of 19, Tom discovered not only his passion for the industry, but also how easy it is for people to make mistakes when it comes to money strategies. He knew right away that he wanted to help people know their options and that retirees deserve to work with someone who is honest, trustworthy and who has their best interest at heart. He is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAFA) and a 6x “Top of the Table” qualifier with The Million Dollar Roundtable, a prestigious financial services organization. 

Tom graduated from the University of Nebraska, Kearney in 1981 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Speech and Business Administration. He also received a Master’s Degree in Organizational Communication from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln in 1992. In addition to financial services, Tom also has experience in the healthcare industry and worked in marketing and business development within organizations in Alaska, Iowa, California, Georgia, and South Dakota. 

In his free time Tom enjoys spending time with his wife Angela traveling and being with sons, family members and friends. He also enjoys playing the drums, bike riding, and reading. Tom has served as a board member of New Creations Fencing (a local non-profit), is active in the Sioux Falls Morning Optimists group and an active member of Meadows Church and is an Eagle Scout with The Boy Scouts of America. On a lighter note, Tom also won the Nebraska State SPAM Cooking Contest – be sure to ask him for his recipe!

Angela Salestrom

Vice President of Business Development

Since 2013, Angela Salestrom has worked in the family business as Vice President of Business Development. Over the years, Angela has been an important part of the leadership team and has assisted Tom Salestrom in a variety of business decisions and functions, including office management. She is also responsible for appointment setting, organization of the calendar, and seminar planning. Angela loves being able to help her husband and our dedicated team help retirees use safety as part of their retirement strategy. 

Angela has a background in education. After high school and attending the University of Nebraska Kearney, Angela enjoyed being a Nanny, then eventually a stay home Mom and having her own daycare business in west Desmoines Iowa for 10 years. She then went on to get her teaching certificate to teach Pre-K and private kindergarten in the Tampa Bay Florida area before moving to Sioux Falls in 2013 to join her husband Tom in the business. She is a dedicated professional who is passionate about the dependable, trustworthy, attentive and thoughtful service that Lifelong Financial Solutions provides to clients. Along with her husband, Tom, and the entire team, Angela truly cares about people and it shows. In addition to her professionalism, Angela is known as someone you can count on. She is genuine and helpful to all our clients and team. When not working with clients or staff, Angela enjoys spending time with her husband Tom, traveling and exploring new places, and loves being with family and friends. Angela has 2 married sons with 3 grandchildren (so far!) and 2 step sons. Angela is also active in her work with Meadows Church of Omaha.

Tyler Cox

Transfer Officer

Tyler Cox is a Transfer Officer for Lifelong Financial Solutions. His job entails acting as the liaison between clients and companies, among other client relation-related tasks. Tyler enjoys knowing he’s helping clients keep their money safe. He enjoys  working for Lifelong Financial Solutions because they are genuinely in the business to help people. And because that is their main goal, they never “up-sell” anyone and are always available to help our clients in any capacity that they may need.

Tyler is a graduate of the University of Nebraska, Lincoln with a degree in Psychology. Prior to Lifelong, he worked in college ministry. He is a people person who cares deeply about the people around him. 

When not assisting clients through Lifelong Financial, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Maddie, daughter, Jane, and their labradoodle, Messi. He loves sports, music, training for Ironman Triathlons. Tyler is also active in their church, Providence Church in Omaha.



Lori Wilwerding

Marketing Director

Lori Wilwerding joined Lifelong Financial Solutions as our Marketing Director in 2021. In this role, she provides excellent customer service to our clients, and manages our events and client communications. In addition, Lori is responsible for our seminar educational materials, client meeting materials, and coordinating other communication and marketing efforts. She is committed to Lifelong Financial Solution’s approach of always having their clients best interest at heart.

As a licensed insurance agent, Lori is able to assist clients with life insurance and annuities. She is bonded in banking for Estate & Trust Division and has also previously held a real estate agent license. In addition, Lori holds an Associates Degree in business. Along with her husband, she has also owned and operated a corporate embroidery and design business for over 25 years. She has been featured in the “Who’s Who for Professional Women-Owned Businesses” publication. 

Known as a caring and trustworthy person, Lori brings her fun energy and bright smile to every interaction she has with our clients. She brings a genuine excitement to her work and loves helping others keep their retirement money safe. When not working, Lori loves to travel and spend time with her wonderful husband, Richard, and her 14 fabulous grandchildren. She has also volunteered with the Madonna organization, in the NIC unit of the hospital, at the United Way, and has assisted with the Special Olympics and local Parent Teacher organizations.
